“The Great Divide” - Author Ron Nelson

BIBLE REFERENCE:

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20.

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT:

I heard a very eye-opening message today from one of my many resources for true gospel teaching. We are all very aware of the division in our land over politics, economy and many other topics of interest. All these are definitely destroying America but the one that is doing the most harm is the division between God and man. In America, the gap between God fearing people and those that follow the teachings of man is rapidly expanding on a daily basis. Other parts of the world, people are narrowing the gap, such as Iran, Pakistan and other neighboring Muslim states. Even though the governments of these evil nations are not Christian in any way shape or form, the people of these countries are waking up to the truth about salvation and Jesus Christ just as the Bible says would happen just before the return of Jesus Christ. The Bible talks about the apostasy in the last days as well, but right now, America is leading the way in that category while many other nations are turning to Jesus Christ. We read two verse that explain this just as it is happening. 1 Timothy 4:1-3; “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.” We also read in 2 Timothy 4:3-4; “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.” I can’t say for sure what is happening in other countries, but America has fallen so deep into this category that only God can save us now.

Our country is ripe for judgement because we have fallen so far away from biblical principles that our nation was founded on. If you compare Sodom and Gomorrah with American where we stand today, America is much worse. The only thing standing in the way of judgement is that America still stands with Israel. When we pull our support of Israel and it will eventually happen as the Bible declares, America will fall from being a superpower to a third world country very quickly. Here is my proof of that, which you will never hear taught in any of the mainline denominations of Christianity, Genesis 12:3; And I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” God has promised that those that come up against Israel will be destroyed. Just in case you are not aware of this, the current administration that we allowed to be put in office are anti-Israel. Take that for what it is worth. Time will eventually give you the answer.

We read this interesting verse in Romans 16:17; “Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.” This is why the Body of Christ will no longer fellowship with those that are following the rule of the people. We will spread the seeds of God’s Word and testify of His second coming, but there will be very few that will even listen, let alone, obey. One of the saddest verses in the Bible is this one, Matthew 7:14; “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” This should scare the dickens out of everybody that doesn’t know Jesus on a personal level. There are churches that teach that everybody is going to heaven, which is a message from the pit of hell concocted by none other than Satan himself. How many times have you been to a funeral and no matter how bad the deceased person was, everybody says they are in better place? You may say, well, he was a good person. That has no bearing whatsoever on whether you go to heaven or not. I hate to bust your bubble but there will be a lot of so-called good people in hell that did not know Jesus on a personal level. Hear this verse and hear it good, Matthew 7:22-23; “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and, in your name, perform many miracles?’ “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness!” These are words from the mouth of Jesus Himself. Who do you think Jesus is referring to? Let me enlighten you, it is everybody that thought their good deeds would get them to heaven. I’ve said this before, I think it needs repeating time and time again, true Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ, not a religion of good deeds.

So, let me ask you this, are you going by way of the world running in fear of everything that you hear or are you turning to Jesus Christ and trusting in Him to keep you from all the evil that is coming to the world soon. I see it on the very near horizon if God's people do not get on the knees and pray to God for healing of our land. If we turn against Israel, I can promise you that judgment will come very soon. If all Gods people turn to Jesus and turn from their wicked ways, and call on God to heal our land, it could happen based on the following verse. 2 Chronicles 7:14; “If my people, (born-again believers) which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.Gods Words, not mine! There is a little hope for America, but only God can help us now, whether or not He will is up to Him and Him alone. So, I guess, all we can do is pray and pray earnestly (in an earnest and serious manner: not lightly, casually, or flippantly) for our Country. The ball is in our court, how will we respond? The future of America depends on it! “Written To the glory of God and Inspired by the Holy Spirit!” Amen!
